Lust which is a product of passion, passion divides. Goodness unites and pure mode of goodness eternally forever unites. Permanent union is possible only on the suddha satva.
The personality of Godhead cannot be seen with material eyes but he can be seen from within; by the spiritual eyes opened by ointment of love of Godhead. As long as one’s spiritual eyes are closed due to dirty covering of matter, one cannot see the Lord.
Whole things start with the mind. If mind is not purified then the words, through the words and through the body we will be committing sins and offences.
