Once we were chanting, but now we are not chanting or we don’t have attraction for chanting. We may not realise, but a lot of time it is because we offended a Vaishnava, we offended some devotee. And now you got the punishment. What is your punishment? Now you don’t like the holy name anymore.
In the middle of broad daylight so much light but still you cannot see. In the middle of the day there is darkness, darkness caused by the ignorance. The Vedas say don’t stay in ignorance, “tamasoma jyotirgamaya.” Tamaso ma: don’t stay in darkness, come to the light.
You could be personal with the holy name because holy name is Lord himself, you could reveal your heart to be holy name and holy name is very kind, could listen to your sincere prayers.
In Kaliyug, Krishna has come in the form of the holy name. Thus, we can be personal with the holy name because holy name is Lord Himself. We can reveal our heart to the holy name and holy name is very kind, it reverts to our sincere prayers.
A wise man has simple living and high thinking. Their lives cannot be simple and they cannot be high thinkers unless they chant the holy names of the Sri Krishna.
Like the doctors give the inoculation to prevent us from diseases, we must be inoculated by Hare Krishna Mahamantra to prevent ourselves from this material world.
